Kakhi: Video Removal Requests

Kakhi, by Plyer Studios, plays short clips of public YouTube videos in YouTube's own embedded player, with Georgian subtitles for learners. Kakhi doesn't host, download or copy any video, and doesn't claim ownership of any of them: videos belong to their creators and rights holders.

Want your video out of Kakhi?

Email plyerstudios@gmail.com with the YouTube link(s), or your channel, and say that you own the rights or act for the owner. You don't need a formal notice. We remove it from the app within 48 hours, a whole channel if you ask, and confirm by email.

Formal copyright notice

For a formal notice under the DMCA or EU law, send it to plyerstudios@gmail.com with:

  • Your contact details: name, postal address, email and phone number.
  • The work: a description of the copyrighted work.
  • Where it is: the YouTube link(s) of the video(s) as they appear in Kakhi.
  • Good-faith statement: that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • Accuracy statement: that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  • Your signature: physical or electronic.

Good to know

  • The video stays on YouTube. Removing it from Kakhi doesn't remove it from YouTube. For that, use YouTube's copyright removal process.
  • Embedding off stops every app. Turning off embedding for a video on YouTube stops it playing in Kakhi and every other app.
